What are the requirements for membership?
Naperville community Radio Watch (NCRW) Applicants MUST comply with the following
criteria:
- A Mature, Responsible Citizen,
with an interest in
the community (and be a resident or employed in Naperville).
- Applicant must be at least 25 years of age.
- Applicants must successfully pass a background investigation.
- Learn the basics of Criminal and Civil Law.
- Receive training in police observation and communication procedures.
- Understand police department procedures.
- Participate in a ride along with the Naperville Police Department.
- Participate in a ride along with NCRW members.
- Receive dispatch training.
- Contribute 60 Patrol hours per year and attend a monthly
training meeting (also available on video tape).
- Drive your own Car (this information is never given out and the mileage
is tax deductible).
- Need / Want / or Desire to help the Community.
How do I join... ?
Every month the Naperville Community Radio Watch has a meeting held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30pm in the Training
Room, located in the lobby of the Naperville Police Department. If the
first Thursday of the month is a holiday, the meeting will be held the
following Thursday.
